Lesotho Agricultural Storage Project Awarded “Excellent Project”

The Lesotho Agricultural Storage, Logistics and Trading Center, delivered by COFCO Engineering Huashang International, has been awarded the title of “Excellent Project”, marking a new benchmark for the overseas application of Chinese engineering standards in grain storage and logistics.
As a key outcome of the Forum on China–Africa Cooperation (FOCAC), the project has been highly recognized by H.E. Prime Minister Matekane, who noted that the modern, international-standard facility will play a critical role in strengthening Lesotho’s food security and supporting sustainable development.

COFCO Engineering Huashang International’s first foreign-aid grain storage and trading facility
Lesotho’s first modern grain warehouse and trading platform
A successful example of exporting Chinese engineering standards, management systems, and operational expertise
On December 4, the project was officially awarded “Excellent Project” at the 2025 Foreign Aid Project Experience Exchange Conference organized by China’s Ministry of Commerce, recognizing its high construction quality and strong project management capabilities.
Looking ahead, COFCO Engineering will continue to promote smart grain storage and green warehousing solutions, contributing Chinese expertise to global food security and sustainable agricultural development.
